David joins the youth setup of FK Austria Wien aged 10. The beginning of his illustrious football journey.

In October 2009, David is called up to the senior Austrian national team for their match against France making him the second youngest player to represent the Austrian National team.

Bayern beat Chelsea in The UEFA Super Cup. David steps up to score the first penalty of the penalty shoot out which Bayern go on to win 5-4.

At the age of just 21, David is named Austrian Sports Personality of the Year for 2013. It is the first time in 16 years that the accolade has been awarded to a footballer.

Bayern beat Raja Casablanca in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup making this the fifth title in the 2013 calendar year - the most successful in FC Bayern's 120-year history.

After a record breaking season, David is awarded the Austrian Footballer of the Year, recognizing his contributions both at national and club level. David is the first person since 1984 to win the vote of all ten coaches, and becomes the first man in history to receive the prize in three consecutive years.

David led the Austria national team to their first qualification for the 2016 UEFA European Championship with a perfect record of nine wins in nine matches in the qualifying campaign.

David is awarded the Austrian Footballer of the Year for the fifth time.

David wins his fifth Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.

The team go on to complete the domestic double after winning the DFB-Pokal.

24th March: David captains Austria for the first time in a FIFA World Cup 2018 qualification game against Moldova in a 2–0 victory.

David wins his seventh Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich and then goes on to win the DFL-Super Cup in the same year.

David wins his eighth Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich and follows it up with another DFB-Pokal trophy.

David wins his ninth Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich and his sixth DFB-Pokal trophy.

After defeating PSG in the final of the UEFA Champions League, Bayern became the first European Cup winners to win all of their matches during the tournament and also secure their second continental treble and become only the second European club to do so.

After over 11 years at Bayern Munich David makes the move to Spain to sign for Real Madrid and to start a new chapter in his career.

David scores the winning goal for Real Madrid in his first el Clásico with Madrid beating Barcelona 2-1.

Later that month, David wins his first La Liga title with Real Madrid.
